Indication
- Treatment of influenza A and B - Post-exposure prevention of influenza
Ingredients
- Oseltamivir 6 mg/mL (oral suspension)
Direction
Shake well before use. Adults: 75 mg twice daily for 5 days for treatment, started within 48 hours of symptom onset; pediatric doses are based on body weight. Use the provided oral dosing syringe to measure the suspension.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
Precautions
- Not a substitute for influenza vaccination
- Reduce dose in patients with renal impairment
- Monitor for neuropsychiatric events (confusion
- abnormal behavior)
- especially in children
- Stop and seek care if a severe skin or hypersensitivity reaction occurs
