Indication

- Schizophrenia - Bipolar disorder (manic and depressive episodes) - Add-on treatment of major depressive disorder

Ingredients

• Quetiapine 100 mg

Direction

Take by mouth as directed by the prescriber, usually once or twice daily. Dose is titrated gradually; do not stop abruptly.

Side effects

• Drowsiness and dizziness
• Dry mouth
• Weight gain
• Constipation
• Low blood pressure on standing

Precautions

• May cause drowsiness
• avoid driving until response is known
• Risk of weight gain
• raised blood sugar and lipids
• May cause dizziness on standing (low blood pressure)
• Use caution in elderly patients with dementia
