Indication
- Prevention of pregnancy - Treatment of moderate acne - Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) - Regulation of menstrual cycle
Ingredients
- Ethinyl Estradiol and Drospirenone
Direction
Take one tablet orally every day at the same time for 21 consecutive days followed by 7 pill-free or placebo days. Administration must be consistent to ensure effectiveness.
Side effects
- Nausea or vomiting
- Breast tenderness or swelling
- Breakthrough bleeding or spotting
- Headache or migraine
- Changes in mood or libido
- Weight fluctuations
Precautions
- Increased risk of blood clots
- Smoking increases cardiovascular side effects
- Contraindicated in history of thrombosis
- Not for patients with renal disease
- Avoid if history of breast cancer
