Indication
- Prophylaxis of chronic asthma - Seasonal allergic rhinitis - Perennial allergic rhinitis - Exercise-induced bronchoconstriction prevention
Ingredients
- Montelukast Sodium
Direction
Take orally once daily, usually in the evening for asthma or at any time for allergic rhinitis. Can be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Cough or sore throat
- Dizziness
- Mood or behavior changes
- Fatigue
Precautions
- Not for acute asthma attacks
- Monitor for neuropsychiatric/mood changes
- Use with caution in pregnancy
- Do not stop other asthma medications abruptly
