Indication
- Acute diarrhea - Symptomatic treatment of diarrhea - Complementary treatment to oral rehydration
Ingredients
- Racecadotril
Direction
Administer orally three times daily at regular intervals. The granules should be added to food or dispersed in a small amount of water.
Side effects
- Vomiting
- Fever
- Rash
- Headache
- Constipation
Precautions
- Use alongside oral rehydration therapy
- Not for bloody or purulent stools
- Caution in renal or hepatic impairment
- Monitor for signs of dehydration
- Avoid if hereditary fructose intolerance exists
