Indication
- Prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma - Seasonal allergic rhinitis - Perennial allergic rhinitis - Prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction
Ingredients
- Montelukast Sodium
Direction
Take orally once daily, usually in the evening for asthma or at any time of day for allergic rhinitis.
Side effects
- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Dizziness
- Fatigue
- Upper respiratory infection
- Mood or behavior changes
Precautions
- Not for treating acute asthma attacks
- Monitor for neuropsychiatric/mood changes
- Do not abruptly substitute for corticosteroids
- Use caution in patients with aspirin sensitivity
