Indication
Symptomatic treatment of severe and/or invalidating anxiety manifestations. Prevention and treatment of delirium tremens and other alcohol withdrawal manifestations.
Ingredients
- Bromazepam
Direction
Adult, normal practice: 1 tablet daily - 1/4 tablet in the morning (1.5 mg), 1/4 tablet at noon (1.5 mg), 1/2 tablet in the evening (3 mg). Dosage to be re-evaluated based on therapeutic response. In psychiatry, ambulatory patients: 6 to 18 mg; hospitalised: up to 24 to 36 mg per day. Reduce by half in elderly or renal/hepatic impairment. Follow doctor's prescription.
Side effects
- Drowsiness
- fatigue
- dizziness.
- Muscle weakness
- confusion
- memory impairment.
- Possible paradoxical reactions such as agitation.
- Stop and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any unusual or severe reaction occurs.
Precautions
- Use only on prescription
- do not exceed prescribed dose.
- Avoid alcohol and driving or operating machinery due to risk of drowsiness.
- Risk of dependence with prolonged use
- do not stop abruptly without medical advice.
- Use with caution in elderly
- pregnant or breastfeeding women
- and in renal or hepatic impairment.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- stop and seek advice if irritation or allergy occurs.
