Indication

For the treatment of Herpes simplex virus infections of the skin and mucous membranes, including initial and recurrent genital herpes and herpes labialis (cold sores).

Ingredients

• Aciclovir 5% w/w

Direction

Apply a sufficient quantity to the affected area, every three hours, six times daily, for seven days. Refer to the package insert for detailed dosage and other information.

Side effects

• Transient burning
• stinging
• or itching at the application site.
• Dryness
• flaking
• or mild erythema of the skin.
• Allergic contact dermatitis in rare cases.
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if severe irritation
• rash or an allergic reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Prescription
• only medicine (POM). For external use only.
• Do not use if you are hypersensitive to Aciclovir
• Valaciclovir
• or any of the excipients.
• Avoid contact with the eyes
• mouth
• and other mucous membranes
• do not apply intravaginally.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• and stop use if irritation or allergy occurs.
