Folic Acid 5 mg

Indication

Treatment and prevention of folate deficiency, megaloblastic anaemia due to folate deficiency, and supplementation during pregnancy to reduce the risk of neural tube defects.

Ingredients

Direction

Adults: take one tablet daily, or as directed by a physician. For oral use.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated. Rarely
• mild gastrointestinal upset or allergic reactions may occur. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if irritation
• allergic reaction or any unusual symptoms occur.

Precautions

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have pernicious anaemia
• vitamin B12 deficiency
• or are taking other medications. Stop use and consult a doctor if irritation or allergic reaction occurs.
