Masterzone 1 g

Indication

Broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic indicated for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections including respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin and soft tissue, bone and joint, intra-abdominal infections, meningitis, gonorrhoea, and surgical prophylaxis.

Ingredients

• Ceftriaxone Sodium equivalent to 1 g Ceftriaxone per vial

Direction

For intramuscular or intravenous injection. Dose and route of administration as directed by the physician.

Side effects

• Pain or induration at the injection site.
• Diarrhoea
• nausea
• vomiting.
• Skin rash
• pruritus.
• Eosinophilia
• thrombocytosis
• leukopenia.
• Rare anaphylactic reactions
• stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if a reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Prescription antibiotic
• use only under the supervision of a doctor.
• Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or penicillins.
• Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.
• Reconstituted solution must be used immediately and protected from light.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
