Laroscorbine 1 g / 5 ml

Indication

Prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency during situations and conditions with requirement or increased risk of deficiencies.

Ingredients

• Ascorbic Acid 1 g per 5 ml ampoule
• Sodium hydroxide q.s. pH 6.8

Direction

One ampoule per day by intravenous injection. Prevention and treatment of deficiencies: 500 to 1000 mg daily. For adults and children above 12 years.

Side effects

• Gastrointestinal disturbance with high doses.
• Risk of kidney stones with prolonged high
• dose use.
• Hypersensitivity reactions including rash
• stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if a reaction occurs.
• Pain or burning at the injection site.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to ascorbic acid or excipients.
• Contraindicated in nephrolithiasis or history of nephrolithiasis
• hyperoxaluria
• severe renal insufficiency or renal failure
• haemochromatosis
• and individuals with sensitivity to sulphur.
• Use under medical supervision.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
