Indication
- Gastric and duodenal ulcers - Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Acid-related dyspepsia and heartburn - Zollinger-Ellison syndrome - H. pylori eradication (combination therapy)
Ingredients
- Omeprazole
Direction
Take orally once daily, ideally in the morning 30 to 60 minutes before a meal. Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not crush or chew.
Side effects
- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea or constipation
- Nausea and vomiting
- Flatulence
- Skin rash or itching
Precautions
- May mask symptoms of gastric malignancy
- Long
- term use risk of osteoporosis
- Potential for Vitamin B12 deficiency
- Risk of Clostridioides difficile
- associated diarrhea
- Hypomagnesemia with prolonged use
