Febulife-80 80 mg

Indication

Lowers high uric acid levels in the blood. Used for the long-term management of chronic hyperuricaemia in conditions such as gout where urate deposition has already occurred.

Ingredients

• Febuxostat

Direction

As directed by the physician. Take 1 tablet once a day. The dosage may be increased up to 2 tablets a day if required. Do not take more than 2 tablets in 24 hours.

Side effects

• May cause headache
• nausea
• diarrhoea
• abnormal liver function tests
• gout flare or rash.
• Stop the medicine and contact a doctor immediately if a severe skin rash
• swelling of the face or throat
• difficulty breathing or signs of liver injury occur.

Precautions

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially if you have liver
• kidney
• heart or thyroid disease
• or a history of allergy to febuxostat.
• Inform your doctor of all medicines you take
• including allopurinol
• mercaptopurine and azathioprine.
• Stop use and seek medical advice if a skin rash
• severe allergic reaction
• chest pain or signs of liver problems occur.
