Indication

Lowers high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood and reduces the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke in patients with elevated lipids or other risk factors.

Ingredients

• Rosuvastatin calcium

Direction

Take one film-coated tablet once daily, by mouth, with or without food, as directed by your doctor.

Side effects

• May cause headache
• muscle pain
• weakness
• abdominal pain
• nausea
• constipation or abnormal liver enzymes.
• Seek immediate medical advice if severe muscle pain
• signs of liver problems (yellowing of skin or eyes)
• or allergic reactions occur.

Precautions

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially if you have liver disease
• kidney disease
• thyroid problems
• a history of muscle disorders
• or are of Asian descent.
• Avoid alcohol and tell your doctor about all medicines you take
• including cyclosporine
• gemfibrozil
• antifungals and HIV protease inhibitors.
• Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Stop use and contact your doctor if unexplained muscle pain
• tenderness or weakness occurs
• particularly with fever or dark
• coloured urine.
