Febo-G 40 mg

Indication

Lowers elevated serum uric acid (hyperuricaemia) and is used for the chronic management of gout in adults.

Ingredients

• Febuxostat

Direction

As directed by the physician or see package insert for full prescribing information. Usual dose is one tablet once daily.

Side effects

• May cause headache
• gout flare
• nausea
• diarrhoea
• abnormal liver function tests or rash.
• Stop the medicine and contact a doctor immediately if a severe skin reaction
• swelling of the face or throat
• or signs of liver problems occur.

Precautions

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially if you have heart disease
• liver or kidney impairment
• or a history of allergy to febuxostat.
• Inform your doctor of all medicines you take
• including azathioprine
• mercaptopurine and theophylline.
• Stop use and seek medical advice if a skin rash
• chest pain
• or signs of a serious allergic reaction occur.
