Indication
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Erosive esophagitis healing and maintenance - Risk reduction of NSAID-associated ulcers - H. pylori eradication in combination therapy - Zollinger-Ellison syndrome treatment - Pathological hypersecretory conditions
Ingredients
- Esomeprazole
Direction
Take orally once daily, at least one hour before a meal. Swallow capsules whole or disperse granules in water as directed.
Side effects
- Headache
- Diarrhea
- Abdominal pain
- Nausea
- Flatulence
- Dry mouth
- Constipation
Precautions
- May mask symptoms of gastric malignancy
- Risk of bone fractures with long
- term use
- Chronic use linked to B12 deficiency
- Hypomagnesemia reported with prolonged treatment
- Potential risk of C. difficile diarrhea
- Avoid concurrent use with clopidogrel
