Indication
Used to treat neuropathic pain (such as post-herpetic neuralgia and diabetic neuropathy) and as adjunctive therapy in partial seizures.
Ingredients
- Gabapentin
Direction
Take orally as directed by a physician. Refer to the package insert for full dosage and titration instructions.
Side effects
- May cause drowsiness
- dizziness
- fatigue
- weight gain
- and peripheral edema.
- Some users may experience blurred vision
- unsteady movement
- or mood changes.
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if rash
- allergic reaction
- severe mood changes
- or thoughts of self
- harm occur.
Precautions
- Use only under medical supervision
- dose adjustment is required in patients with kidney impairment.
- Do not stop suddenly
- gradual dose reduction is recommended to avoid withdrawal symptoms.
- Inform your doctor about mood changes
- depression
- or any other current medications before starting treatment.
