Indication

Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycaemic control, and to reduce the risk of cardiovascular and renal events in selected patients.

Ingredients

• Empagliflozin

Direction

As directed by the physician. Take once daily in the morning, with or without food.

Side effects

• May cause urinary tract infection
• genital fungal infection
• increased urination
• thirst
• dizziness or low blood sugar when combined with other antidiabetic medicines.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any reaction is severe or persistent.

Precautions

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially in kidney impairment
• dehydration
• recurrent urinary or genital infections
• or pregnancy.
• Drink adequate fluids and maintain good genital hygiene to reduce the risk of urinary and genital infections.
• Stop use and seek medical advice immediately if severe abdominal pain
• nausea
• vomiting
• signs of ketoacidosis
• severe infection or any allergic reaction occurs.
