Indication
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycaemic control, and to reduce the risk of cardiovascular and renal events in selected patients.
Ingredients
- Empagliflozin
Direction
As directed by the physician. Take once daily in the morning, with or without food.
Side effects
- May cause urinary tract infection
- genital fungal infection
- increased urination
- thirst
- dizziness or low blood sugar when combined with other antidiabetic medicines.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any reaction is severe or persistent.
Precautions
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- especially in kidney impairment
- dehydration
- recurrent urinary or genital infections
- or pregnancy.
- Drink adequate fluids and maintain good genital hygiene to reduce the risk of urinary and genital infections.
- Stop use and seek medical advice immediately if severe abdominal pain
- nausea
- vomiting
- signs of ketoacidosis
- severe infection or any allergic reaction occurs.
