Indication
- Gastric and duodenal ulcers - Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Zollinger-Ellison syndrome - H. pylori eradication (adjunct) - Acid-related dyspepsia
Ingredients
- Omeprazole
Direction
Take orally once daily, usually in the morning before a meal. Capsules should be swallowed whole with water and not crushed or chewed.
Side effects
- Headache
- Diarrhea
- Abdominal pain
- Nausea
- Flatulence
- Constipation
Precautions
- May mask symptoms of gastric cancer
- Long
- term use may cause B12 deficiency
- Risk of bone fractures in long
- term use
- Caution in patients with hepatic impairment
- Monitor magnesium levels during prolonged therapy
