Indication
Used as an adjunct to diet to reduce high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in adults with primary hypercholesterolaemia, mixed dyslipidaemia or hypertriglyceridaemia.
Ingredients
- Fenofibrate
Direction
As directed by the physician or see package insert for full prescribing information. Take capsule with the main meal of the day.
Side effects
- May cause digestive disturbances (nausea
- abdominal pain)
- elevated liver enzymes
- headache or rash.
- Stop the medicine and seek immediate care if severe muscle pain
- dark
- coloured urine
- yellowing of the skin or eyes
- or a severe allergic reaction occur.
Precautions
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- especially if you have liver
- kidney or gallbladder disease
- or a history of muscle disorders.
- Tell your doctor about all medicines you take
- particularly statins
- oral anticoagulants and cyclosporine.
- Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless directed by your doctor.
- Stop use and seek medical advice if unexplained muscle pain
- tenderness or weakness
- or signs of liver problems occur.
