Indication
Topical combination corticosteroid and antibiotic for the short-term treatment of steroid-responsive inflammatory skin disorders, such as eczema and dermatitis, where secondary bacterial infection is present or suspected.
Ingredients
- Fluocinolone Acetonide BP 0.025% w/w
- Neomycin Sulphate BP 0.5% w/w (equivalent to Neomycin 0.35% w/w)
Direction
Apply a small quantity of cream to the affected area as a thin film, as directed by a physician. To be used only under medical supervision.
Side effects
- Burning
- itching or stinging at the application site.
- Skin atrophy
- telangiectasia
- striae or hypopigmentation with prolonged use.
- Allergic contact dermatitis to neomycin in sensitive individuals.
- Possible ototoxicity or nephrotoxicity if applied over large or denuded areas (systemic absorption of neomycin).
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if rash
- severe irritation or an allergic reaction occurs.
Precautions
- For external application only.
- To be used only under medical supervision.
- Do not use on the face
- in or near the eyes
- on broken skin
- or on large body areas unless directed by a doctor.
- Do not use if you are hypersensitive to neomycin
- other aminoglycosides
- fluocinolone
- or any of the ingredients.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- especially during pregnancy
- breastfeeding or in children
- and stop use if irritation or allergy occurs.
