Flucort-N Skin Cream 15 g tube; Fluocinolone Acetonide 0.025% and Neomycin Sulphate 0.5% (equivalent to Neomycin 0.35%)

Indication

Topical combination corticosteroid and antibiotic for the short-term treatment of steroid-responsive inflammatory skin disorders, such as eczema and dermatitis, where secondary bacterial infection is present or suspected.

Ingredients

• Fluocinolone Acetonide BP 0.025% w/w
• Neomycin Sulphate BP 0.5% w/w (equivalent to Neomycin 0.35% w/w)

Direction

Apply a small quantity of cream to the affected area as a thin film, as directed by a physician. To be used only under medical supervision.

Side effects

• Burning
• itching or stinging at the application site.
• Skin atrophy
• telangiectasia
• striae or hypopigmentation with prolonged use.
• Allergic contact dermatitis to neomycin in sensitive individuals.
• Possible ototoxicity or nephrotoxicity if applied over large or denuded areas (systemic absorption of neomycin).
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if rash
• severe irritation or an allergic reaction occurs.

Precautions

• For external application only.
• To be used only under medical supervision.
• Do not use on the face
• in or near the eyes
• on broken skin
• or on large body areas unless directed by a doctor.
• Do not use if you are hypersensitive to neomycin
• other aminoglycosides
• fluocinolone
• or any of the ingredients.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially during pregnancy
• breastfeeding or in children
• and stop use if irritation or allergy occurs.
