Indication
Adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when treatment with both sitagliptin and metformin is appropriate.
Ingredients
- Sitagliptin (as Sitagliptin Phosphate Monohydrate) 50 mg
- Metformin Hydrochloride Ph. Eur. 500 mg

Side effects
- May cause headache
- hypoglycaemia (when combined with insulin or sulfonylureas)
- gastrointestinal upset
- or upper respiratory tract infection.
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if severe abdominal pain
- persistent vomiting
- allergic reaction
- or signs of lactic acidosis occur.
Precautions
- Prescription
- only medicine.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use in renal or hepatic impairment
- history of pancreatitis
- heart failure
- or before procedures with iodinated contrast.
- Monitor for symptoms of pancreatitis or lactic acidosis.
- Stop use and seek medical advice if irritation
- allergy
- or unusual symptoms occur.
