Panadol 500 mg

Indication

Analgesic and antipyretic for the treatment of mild-to-moderate pain and fever including headache, migraine, muscle ache, sore throat, musculoskeletal pain, fever and pain associated with vaccination/immunisation, pain after dental procedures, toothache, earache/otalgia, respiratory tract infections including cold and flu, and osteoarthritis pain.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 500 mg

Direction

Adults (including the elderly) and children aged 12 years and over: 500 mg to 1000 mg paracetamol (1 to 2 tablets), taken every 4 to 6 hours as required. Do not take more than four doses in any 24-hour period. Maximum duration of continued use without medical advice: 3 days.

Side effects

• Skin rash or allergic skin reactions (uncommon).
• Very rare blood disorders.
• Rare hepatic toxicity at high doses.
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if severe reactions occur.

Precautions

• Do not exceed the stated dose
• overdose can damage the liver.
• Do not take with other paracetamol
• containing medicines.
• Not recommended for children under the age of 6 years.
