Cimetidine 400 mg

Indication

Treatment of evolving gastric and duodenal ulcer, maintenance treatment of duodenal ulcer, treatment of oesophagitis secondary to gastro-oesophageal reflux, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

Ingredients

• Cimetidine

Direction

Gastric or duodenal ulcer: 1 tablet at breakfast and 1 tablet at bedtime, or 2 tablets at bedtime. Maintenance: 1 tablet at bedtime. Oesophagitis: 200 mg to 400 mg, 4 times daily. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: 2 g per day.

Side effects

• Diarrhea
• dizziness
• headache
• or rash may occur.
• Rare cases of gynecomastia have been reported with prolonged use.
