Piroxicam-Fort 20 mg per capsule

Indication

NSAID indicated for symptomatic treatment of chronic inflammatory rheumatism, painful invalidating osteoarthritis, acute flares of articular rheumatism (periarthritis, tendinitis, bursitis), acute post-traumatic conditions of the locomotor apparatus, microcrystalline arthritis, arthrosis, and radiculalgia.

Refer to the inside leaflet for dosage. Use is restricted to adults and children from 15 years and above.

Side effects

• May cause gastrointestinal upset
• nausea
• dyspepsia
• abdominal pain
• dizziness
• skin rash
• or fluid retention.
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any allergic reaction
• gastrointestinal bleeding
• severe skin reaction
• or other unusual symptoms occur.

Precautions

• Do not use in children under 15 years.
• Use with caution in patients with peptic ulcer
• gastrointestinal bleeding
• bleeding disorders
• cardiovascular disease
• or renal/hepatic impairment.
• Avoid in patients with known hypersensitivity to piroxicam
• aspirin
• or other NSAIDs.
• Avoid during pregnancy (especially third trimester) and breastfeeding unless prescribed by a doctor.
• Strictly respect the prescribed dose
• use only on medical prescription.
• Keep out of reach of children.
