Indication
Antifungal and anti-inflammatory cream. Indicated for the topical treatment of inflammatory dermatoses where infection by susceptible organisms co-exists, e.g. inflammatory fungal infections and infective eczema.
Ingredients
- Econazole Nitrate 10 mg/g (1%)
- Triamcinolone Acetonide 1 mg/g (0.1%)
Direction
Apply lightly over the affected area several times daily for up to 14 days. Refer to the package insert for full details.
Side effects
- Burning
- itching
- stinging or redness at the application site.
- Skin atrophy
- telangiectasia
- striae or hypopigmentation with prolonged corticosteroid use.
- Allergic contact dermatitis to econazole or excipients.
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if severe irritation
- rash or an allergic reaction occurs.
Precautions
- POISON / RACUN: For external use only.
- Do not use if you are hypersensitive to econazole
- other imidazole antifungals
- triamcinolone
- or any of the ingredients.
- Avoid use on the face
- broken skin
- eyes or large body areas unless directed by a doctor.
- Prolonged use of the corticosteroid component may cause skin atrophy and other steroid
- related side effects.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- especially during pregnancy
- breastfeeding or in children
- and stop use if irritation or allergy occurs.
