Indication

Third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic indicated for susceptible bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and skin and soft tissue infections.

Ingredients

• Cefpodoxime proxetil

Direction

Take as directed by the physician. Swallow film-coated tablets whole with water, preferably with food to improve absorption.

Side effects

• May cause diarrhoea
• nausea
• abdominal pain
• headache
• or rash. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist
• and stop the medicine and seek urgent care for severe allergic reaction or persistent watery diarrhoea.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to cephalosporins or penicillins. Inform your doctor of any kidney problems
• gastrointestinal disease
• or other medication. Stop and seek medical attention immediately if rash
• breathing difficulty
• or severe diarrhoea develops.
