Indication
Short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate acute pain, including post-operative pain, low back pain, and pain associated with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Ingredients
- Lornoxicam
Direction
Adults: 1 film-coated tablet (8 mg) two to three times a day, swallowed whole with water, preferably with food. Maximum 16 mg per day. As directed by the physician; see prescribing information. To be sold on prescription of a registered medical practitioner only.
Side effects
- Gastrointestinal discomfort
- nausea
- dyspepsia
- abdominal pain.
- Headache
- dizziness.
- Allergic reactions including rash and itching.
- Stop and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any unusual or severe reaction occurs.
Precautions
- Prescription only
- use only under medical supervision.
- Do not use in pregnancy (especially third trimester) or breastfeeding.
- Use with caution in patients with history of gastric ulcer
- asthma
- kidney
- liver or heart disease.
- Avoid alcohol and do not combine with other NSAIDs
- anticoagulants or aspirin without medical advice.
