Indication
NSAID indicated for symptomatic treatment of painful and/or febrile conditions, musculoskeletal pain, primary dysmenorrhea, and functional menorrhagia.
Ingredients
- Mefenamic Acid
Direction
Reserved for adults and children from 12 years and above. Pain and fever: 4 to 6 capsules per day in 3 doses, taken with meals. Dysmenorrhea: 2 capsules 3 times per day at the start of pain, with meals, until symptoms disappear. Menorrhagia: 2 capsules 3 times per day from the first day of menstruation, with meals, not exceeding 5 days.
Side effects
- May cause gastrointestinal upset
- nausea
- diarrhea
- abdominal pain
- dizziness
- drowsiness
- or skin rash.
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any allergic reaction
- gastrointestinal bleeding
- severe skin reaction
- or other unusual symptoms occur.
Precautions
- Do not use in children under 12 years.
- Use with caution in patients with peptic ulcer
- gastrointestinal bleeding
- bleeding disorders
- cardiovascular disease
- asthma
- or renal/hepatic impairment.
- Avoid in patients with known hypersensitivity to mefenamic acid
- aspirin
- or other NSAIDs.
- Avoid during pregnancy (especially third trimester) and breastfeeding unless prescribed by a doctor.
- Strictly respect the prescribed dose.
- Keep out of reach of children.
