Indication
Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections including upper and lower respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and ENT infections caused by macrolide-sensitive organisms.
Ingredients
- Roxithromycin
Direction
As directed by the physician. Typical adult dose: 150 mg twice daily or 300 mg once daily. Swallow with water; preferably before meals.
Side effects
- Gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea
- vomiting
- abdominal pain or diarrhoea may occur.
- Hypersensitivity reactions and altered liver enzymes have been reported.
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if rash
- irritation
- or any severe symptom develops.
Precautions
- Do not use if hypersensitive to macrolide antibiotics.
- Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment or QT prolongation.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Stop use and seek medical advice if irritation or allergic reaction occurs.
