Indication
Treatment of hypertension and chronic stable angina pectoris. Prolonged-release (retard) formulation for sustained calcium channel blockade.
Ingredients
- Nifedipine
Direction
Adults: 20 mg twice daily, swallowed whole with water. Do not bite, chew, or break the tablet. Dosage may be adjusted by a physician.
Side effects
- Headache
- flushing
- peripheral oedema
- dizziness
- or palpitations may occur.
- Hypotension
- gingival hyperplasia
- or constipation have been reported.
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if irritation
- allergy
- or any unusual symptom develops.
Precautions
- Contains lactose
- please read instructions for use carefully.
- Do not use in patients with cardiogenic shock
- advanced aortic stenosis
- or within one month of myocardial infarction.
- Use with caution in patients with severe hypotension
- heart failure
- or hepatic impairment.
- Subject to medical prescription
- strictly follow the prescribed doses.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have any underlying medical condition or are taking other medications.
- Avoid concurrent use with grapefruit juice.
