Carzepin 200 mg

Indication

Anticonvulsant used in the management of epilepsy (generalized tonic-clonic and partial seizures), trigeminal neuralgia, and certain affective disorders including bipolar disorder.

Ingredients

• Carbamazepine BP 200 mg

Direction

For oral use. As directed by the physician. Refer to package insert for dosage and other information.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• dizziness
• ataxia
• nausea
• vomiting and headache may occur.
• Skin rash
• including rare but serious Stevens
• Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis.
• Blood disorders such as leukopenia
• agranulocytosis and aplastic anemia (rare).
• Hyponatremia
• liver dysfunction and cardiac conduction abnormalities (rare).
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist immediately if a severe rash
• fever or signs of blood or liver disorders appear.

• Inform your doctor about all medicines you take
• many drug interactions are possible (including warfarin
• oral contraceptives
• and other antiepileptics).
• May cause drowsiness or dizziness
• do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medicine affects you.
• Stop use and seek immediate medical attention if a skin rash
• fever
• sore throat or unexplained bleeding or bruising occurs.
• Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding unless directed by a doctor.
• Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine.
