Indication

Treatment of mild to moderate coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in adults with positive results of SARS-CoV-2 viral testing, and who are at high risk of progression to severe COVID-19. To be started as soon as possible after diagnosis and within 5 days of symptom onset.

Ingredients

• Molnupiravir

Direction

Adults: 800 mg (4 capsules of 200 mg) taken orally every 12 hours for 5 days, with or without food. Complete the full 5-day course even if symptoms improve. As directed by the physician.

Side effects

• Diarrhoea

• dizziness.
• Headache.
• Allergic skin reactions including rash and itching.
• Stop and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any unusual or severe reaction occurs.

Precautions

• use under the direction of a physician.
• Not recommended during pregnancy or in women of childbearing potential not using effective contraception
• effective contraception is advised during treatment and for 4 days after the last dose.
• Breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment and for 4 days after the last dose.
