Indication
Selective COX-2 NSAID indicated for the short-term treatment of acute gouty arthritis and other acute painful conditions in adults.
Ingredients
- Etoricoxib
Direction
To be dispensed only by or on the prescription of a registered physician. Refer to the package insert for full dosing information.
Side effects
- May cause gastrointestinal upset
- headache
- dizziness
- edema
- increased blood pressure
- or elevated liver enzymes.
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any allergic reaction
- gastrointestinal bleeding
- chest pain
- or unusual symptoms occur.
Precautions
- Use only under prescription of a registered physician.
- 120 mg strength is intended for short
- term use (typically up to 8 days) for acute pain.
- Avoid in patients with known hypersensitivity to etoricoxib or other NSAIDs.
- Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease
- uncontrolled hypertension
- peptic ulcer disease
- or renal/hepatic impairment.
- Not recommended during pregnancy (especially third trimester) or breastfeeding without medical advice.
- Keep out of reach of children.
