Indication
Treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, including community-acquired pneumonia, acute bacterial sinusitis, acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, complicated and uncomplicated urinary tract infections, pyelonephritis, prostatitis, and skin and soft tissue infections.
Ingredients
- Levofloxacin

See package insert for full prescribing information or as directed by the physician. Typical adult dose: 500 mg once daily. Swallow with water and complete the prescribed course.
Side effects
- Nausea
- diarrhoea
- headache or dizziness may occur.
- Rare but serious effects include tendon rupture
- peripheral neuropathy
- QT prolongation
- and severe hypersensitivity.
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist immediately if tendon pain
- irritation
- allergy or any unusual symptom develops.
Precautions
- Do not use if hypersensitive to fluoroquinolones.
- Avoid in patients with a history of tendon disorders or QT prolongation.
- Use with caution in patients with renal impairment
- diabetes
- epilepsy
- or G6PD deficiency.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Stop use and seek medical advice if tendon pain
- irritation
- or allergic reaction occurs.
