Augmentin 200 mg / 28.5 mg per 5 ml

Indication

Broad-spectrum penicillin-with-beta-lactamase-inhibitor antibiotic indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections including acute otitis media, sinusitis, lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and skin and soft-tissue infections caused by susceptible organisms.

Ingredients

• Amoxicillin trihydrate
• Potassium clavulanate

Direction

Powder for 70 ml oral suspension. Reconstitute as directed. Oral use. To be used as directed by your physician. Contains aspartame. See leaflet for further information.

Side effects

• Common: diarrhoea
• nausea
• vomiting
• skin rash.
• Rarely: serious allergic reactions
• cholestatic jaundice
• hepatitis.

• stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Contains aspartame
• unsuitable for patients with phenylketonuria.
• Inform the doctor of any allergy to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics.
• Use with caution in patients with hepatic or renal impairment.
• Complete the prescribed course.
