Indication
- Bacterial infections - Respiratory tract infections - Urinary tract infections - Ear, nose, and throat infections - Skin and soft tissue infections - Dental abscesses - Lyme disease (early stage)
Ingredients
- Amoxicillin
Direction
Take orally with or without food. Usually administered every 8 to 12 hours depending on the specific infection severity.
Side effects
- Diarrhea
- Nausea
- Skin rash or hives
- Vomiting
- Oral or vaginal candidiasis (thrush)
Precautions
- History of penicillin allergy
- Severe renal impairment requires dosage adjustment
- Risk of rash with mononucleosis
- Potential for antibiotic
- associated colitis
