Lincomycine 500 mg

Indication

Treatment of severe infections caused by susceptible germs, including ENT and bronchopulmonary infections, stomatological infections, cutaneous, genital, osteoarticular infections, post-surgical abdominal infections, and septicaemia.

Ingredients

• Lincomycin hydrochloride monohydrate (equivalent to lincomycin base 500 mg)

Direction

Adults: 1.5 g to 2 g per 24 hours. Children: 30 to 60 mg/kg per 24 hours.

Side effects

• Gastrointestinal disturbances including diarrhoea or pseudomembranous colitis may occur.
• Hypersensitivity reactions and blood disorders have been reported.
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist immediately if severe diarrhoea
• allergy
• irritation
• or any unusual symptom develops.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to lincomycin or clindamycin.
• Use with caution in patients with hepatic
• renal or gastrointestinal disorders.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Stop use and seek medical advice if irritation or allergic reaction occurs.
