Motilium-M 10 mg

Indication

Prescription-only antiemetic used for the relief of symptoms of nausea and vomiting, and to relieve feelings of fullness or discomfort due to delayed gastric emptying, including bloating, epigastric pain and heartburn.

Ingredients

• Domperidone maleate

Direction

Adults: Take 1 tablet (10 mg) up to 3 times a day before meals, or as directed by your doctor. Swallow with water. Do not exceed the prescribed dose. Read the package insert before use.

Side effects

• Common: dry mouth
• headache.
• Uncommon: dizziness
• anxiety
• drowsiness
• breast tenderness or swelling
• milk discharge
• hot flushes.
• Rare but serious: cardiac arrhythmias including QT prolongation
• severe allergic reactions.
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any serious adverse reaction or allergic symptom occurs.

Precautions

• Prescription
• only medicine.
• Do not use if you have a known hypersensitivity to domperidone
• severe liver impairment
• prolonged QT interval on ECG
• significant electrolyte disturbances
• or are taking medications known to prolong the QT interval.
• Use at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant
• breastfeeding
• or taking any other medications.
• Stop use and consult a healthcare professional if irritation
• allergy or adverse reactions occur.
