Indication
First-aid antiseptic for treatment and prevention of susceptible microbial infections in minor cuts, scrapes, and abrasions. Used as a topical antiseptic on skin and wounds.
Ingredients
- Povidone
- iodine
Direction
For external use only. Clean the affected area. Apply LeoPovidone solution to the skin or wound using clean gauze or cotton; allow to dry. Use once or twice daily, or as directed by a doctor or pharmacist.
Side effects
- May cause local skin irritation
- redness
- or allergic reaction in sensitive individuals
- rarely
- prolonged or extensive use may affect thyroid function. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if irritation or allergy occurs.
Precautions
- For external use only. Do not use on deep or puncture wounds
- animal bites
- or serious burns without medical advice. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not use in patients with known iodine sensitivity or thyroid disorders without medical supervision. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use during pregnancy or in newborns. Stop use if irritation
