TobraDex Tobramycin 3 mg / Dexamethasone 1 mg per ml, 5 ml

Indication

Sterile ophthalmic suspension indicated for steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions for which a corticosteroid is indicated and where superficial bacterial ocular infection or a risk of bacterial ocular infection exists.

Ingredients

• Tobramycin
• Dexamethasone

Direction

Instill 1 or 2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) every 4 to 6 hours, or as directed by your physician. During the first 24 to 48 hours, dosage may be increased to 1 or 2 drops every 2 hours. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• Eye irritation
• redness
• itching
• swelling of eyelids
• blurred vision
• or burning on instillation may occur.
• Less commonly: increased intraocular pressure
• glaucoma
• or secondary ocular infection.
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist or worsen
• or if any unexpected reaction occurs.

Precautions

• For topical ophthalmic use only.
• Use only under the supervision of a physician
• not for self
• medication.
• Prolonged use may result in increased intraocular pressure

• or impaired wound healing.
• Do not use if you have known hypersensitivity to tobramycin
• dexamethasone
• or any component
• or in viral
• fungal
• or mycobacterial ocular infections.
• Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Stop use if irritation or allergy occurs and consult a doctor or pharmacist.
