Indication
Prophylaxis and treatment of allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial) in adults, adolescents, and children 2 years and older.
Ingredients
- Fluticasone Furoate
Direction
Adults and adolescents 12 years and older: 2 sprays into each nostril once daily; reduce to 1 spray into each nostril once daily for maintenance once symptoms are controlled. Children 2 to 11 years: 1 spray into each nostril once daily, increasing to 2 sprays if symptoms are not adequately controlled. Shake well before use. Each actuation contains 27.5 micrograms of fluticasone furoate. Read the package leaflet before use.
Side effects
- Very common: epistaxis (nosebleed).
- Common: headache
- nasal ulceration.
- Uncommon: nasal discomfort
- dryness
- irritation
- throat irritation.
- Rare: hypersensitivity reactions including anaphylaxis
- angioedema
- rash
- and urticaria.
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any unexpected reaction occurs.
Precautions
- Controlled medicine
- use only as directed by your physician. It is dangerous to exceed the stated dose.
- Consult a doctor before use if you have hepatic impairment
- glaucoma
- cataracts
- untreated nasal infection
- recent nasal surgery
- or trauma.
- Long
- term use of intranasal corticosteroids may require monitoring of growth in children.
- Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus or infant
- and only under medical supervision.
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if irritation or allergic reaction occurs.
