Vicks DayQuil + NyQuil Severe Cold & Flu Combo 325 mg acetaminophen per LiquiCap

Indication

Max-strength day and night relief for common cold and flu symptoms. DayQuil (non-drowsy) relieves headache, fever, sore throat, minor aches and pains, chest congestion, thins and loosens mucus, nasal congestion and sinus pressure, and cough. NyQuil (nighttime relief) relieves headache, fever, sore throat, minor aches and pains, nasal congestion, sinus pressure, sneezing, runny nose and cough, and helps users sleep through symptoms.

Ingredients

• DayQuil LiquiCap — Acetaminophen 325 mg
• Dextromethorphan HBr 10 mg
• Guaifenesin 200 mg
• Phenylephrine HCl 5 mg
• NyQuil LiquiCap — Acetaminophen 325 mg
• Dextromethorphan HBr 10 mg
• Doxylamine succinate 6.25 mg
• Phenylephrine HCl 5 mg

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and older: take 2 LiquiCaps with water every 4 hours; do not exceed 8 LiquiCaps in 24 hours. Use DayQuil during the day and NyQuil at night. Children under 12 years: do not use unless directed by a doctor.

Side effects

• May cause drowsiness (NyQuil especially) — avoid driving or operating heavy machinery.
• May cause dizziness
• dry mouth
• nausea
• or stomach upset.
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if new symptoms occur
• if redness or swelling is present
• or if symptoms do not improve within 7 days (cough lasting more than 7 days
• fever lasting more than 3 days
• or recurring fever or rash).

Precautions

• Liver warning: contains acetaminophen. Severe liver damage may occur if more than 8 LiquiCaps are taken in 24 hours
• if combined with other acetaminophen
• containing products
• or with 3 or more alcoholic drinks per day.
• Allergy alert: acetaminophen may cause severe skin reactions. Stop use and seek medical help right away if a skin reaction occurs.
• Sore throat warning: if sore throat is severe
• persists for more than 2 days
• or is accompanied by fever
• headache
• rash
• nausea
• or vomiting
• consult a doctor.
• Do not use with any other drug containing acetaminophen (prescription or non
• prescription) without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
• Do not use if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI)
• or for 2 weeks after stopping an MAOI.
• Ask a doctor before use if you have liver disease

• thyroid disease or diabetes
