Indication
Treatment of acute myocardial infarction (heart attack), prevention of heart attack in certain high-risk groups, and prevention of stroke after transient ischaemic attack (TIA).
Ingredients
- Aspirin (Acetylsalicylic Acid)
Direction
1 capsule daily to be taken with a glass of water. Use the Casprin Calendar pack: start with the capsule in the section marked 'TAKE FIRST', then take one capsule each day following the arrows around the pack, finishing at the section marked 'TAKE LAST'. Start a new pack on the next day at about the same time, or as prescribed by a doctor.
Side effects
- May cause gastrointestinal upset
- heartburn
- nausea
- or increased bleeding tendency.
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any allergic reaction
- black stools
- vomiting blood
- or other unusual symptoms occur.
Precautions
- Not recommended for children under 16 years due to risk of Reye's syndrome.
- Use with caution in patients with peptic ulcer
- bleeding disorders
- asthma
- or aspirin hypersensitivity.
- Inform your doctor before surgery or dental procedures.
- Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Keep out of reach of children.
