Lostad Plus 50 mg / 12.5 mg

Indication

Treatment of essential hypertension in adults whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with losartan or hydrochlorothiazide alone. Fixed-dose combination of an angiotensin II receptor antagonist (Losartan) and a thiazide diuretic (Hydrochlorothiazide).

Ingredients

• Losartan Potassium 50 mg
• Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg

Direction

Adults: one film-coated tablet once daily, or as prescribed by the physician. Refer to package insert for full dosage and administration instructions.

Side effects

• May cause dizziness
• headache
• fatigue
• electrolyte disturbances (low potassium
• low sodium)
• or rarely angioedema.
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any allergic reaction
• severe dizziness
• swelling of face/lips
• or other unusual symptoms occur.

Precautions

• Prescription medicine (Rx)
• to be taken only as prescribed by a doctor.
• Inform doctor of any history of kidney or liver disease
• allergy to sulfonamides
• or pregnancy/breastfeeding.
• Not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• Monitor blood pressure
• electrolytes
• and kidney function regularly.
• Keep out of reach of children.
