Clinovir Cream Aciclovir 5% w/w (5 g per 100 g)

Indication

For the treatment of Herpes simplex virus infections of the skin, including initial and recurrent genital Herpes and Herpes labialis.

Ingredients

Direction

Topical use. Apply locally every 4 hours or 5 times daily, omitting the night dose, for 5 days continuously; may be continued for up to 10 days. Should be used as early as possible after the start of an infection.

Side effects

• Possible local irritation
• mild burning
• stinging
• dryness
• or rash at the application site. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if irritation or any allergic reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Should not be applied to mucous membranes such as in mouth
• eyes
• or vagina. Particular care should be taken to avoid accidental introduction into the eyes. Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to Aciclovir or Propylene Glycol. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use during pregnancy
