Ciprofloxacin 500 mg 500 mg

Indication

Treatment of bacterial infections susceptible to ciprofloxacin, including urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, gastrointestinal infections, and gonorrhoea.

Ingredients

• Ciprofloxacin

Direction

Oral route. Follow the prescribed dose from the physician. Swallow the film-coated tablet whole with a glass of water; do not take with dairy products or mineral-fortified drinks at the same time. Complete the prescribed course even if you feel better.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• diarrhoea
• abdominal pain
• headache
• dizziness
• rash
• tendinitis. Always ask a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop and seek immediate advice if you experience severe allergic reaction
• tendon pain
• persistent diarrhoea
• or unusual symptoms.

Precautions

• Prescription only (Liste I). Do not use if allergic to ciprofloxacin or other fluoroquinolones. May cause tendinitis or tendon rupture
• especially in elderly patients or those on corticosteroids. Avoid prolonged sun exposure. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially in case of seizure disorders
• kidney problems

• interval issues.
