Indication

Symptomatic relief of urinary urgency, frequency, dysuria, suprapubic pain and incontinence associated with cystitis, prostatitis, urethritis and pyelonephritis. Relief of vesical pain due to catheterisation, indwelling catheters, and after urinary tract surgical intervention.

Ingredients

• Flavoxate hydrochloride

Direction

Oral route. Adults: one tablet three times a day, or as directed by physician. Refer to the enclosed leaflet for further information.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• vomiting
• dry mouth
• drowsiness
• blurred vision
• tachycardia
• urticaria
• palpitations. Always ask a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop and seek advice if severe symptoms occur.

Precautions

• Prescription only ('UBAT TERKAWAL / Controlled medicine'). Do not use in case of obstructive uropathy
• obstructive intestinal lesions
• ileus
• achalasia
• GI haemorrhage or hypersensitivity to flavoxate. Use with caution in glaucoma. Inform your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding. May cause drowsiness — avoid driving until effect is known.
