Indication

Symptomatic treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and related gastrointestinal spasms, abdominal pain, and discomfort.

Ingredients

• Mebeverine hydrochloride

Direction

Oral route. As directed by the physician. Usually one capsule twice daily, 20 minutes before meals. Swallow the capsule whole with water — do not chew. Refer to the leaflet for full prescribing information.

Side effects

• Rarely: allergic skin reactions (rash
• urticaria)
• angioedema
• dizziness. Always ask a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop and seek advice if severe allergic reaction or unusual symptoms occur.

Precautions

• Prescription only. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to mebeverine
• paralytic ileus
• or porphyria. Use with caution in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if symptoms persist or worsen.
