Indication

Treatment of bacterial infections susceptible to cefixime + clavulanic acid, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, otitis media, and uncomplicated gonorrhoea.

Ingredients

• Cefixime (as trihydrate)
• Potassium clavulanate (as clavulanic acid)

Direction

Oral use. As directed by the physician. Swallow the film-coated tablet whole with a glass of water. Complete the full prescribed course.

Side effects

• May cause diarrhoea
• nausea
• abdominal pain
• headache
• rash. Always ask a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop and seek immediate advice if severe allergic reaction or persistent diarrhoea occurs.

Precautions

• Prescription only (Rx). Do not use if allergic to cephalosporins or penicillins. Inform your doctor of any history of allergy
